I appreciate the history and culture of Missoni, but I have to admit that this was the post I was least looking forward to writing. Missonis over-designed prints, lack of structure, and the general lack of monochrome color palettes put their offerings out of my comfort realm.

And although the color palettes are definitely not monochromatic, and there are definitely prints and patterns used throughout the hotel, there's something different about Missonis hotel in Edinburgh. . .

There's a light handed approach to the crazy that usually comes with the Missoni label. From bedrooms, to bars, to restaurants, their design just looks fresh.
