On today, Donatella Versace's 56th Birthday, I figured, what better way to celebrate than with a selection of Versace Atelier Gowns from the 2011 Versace Atelier Collection?!

Versace Atelier has long been cited as the go to design house for glamorous and sexy couture gowns and has become a favorite for red carpet events, soirees, and editorials. Their pieces have recently graced Citizen K (french edition), L'officiel France, Numero France, Madame Figaro, UK's ES, and more.

These gowns can cost tens of thousands of dollars,and after further investigation, the price is undoubtedly warranted. These gowns are not only made of finer fabrics and have better overall designs, but some of these gowns can take up to 800 hours to create, are sewn by hand, and can consist of semi precious crystals, stones, or beading.
